Number 35 -
Point Lonsdale Bed and Breakfast

Presenting a new architect-designed, purpose-built luxury getaway in the finest bed and breakfast tradition nestled in the heart of Point Lonsdale with spacious bedrooms, private balconies and lap pool.
After Point Lonsdale proved to be the perfect escape for your hosts Paul and Margaret for 30 years, who better to introduce you to the best that Point Lonsdale and its surrounds have to offer! We invite you to experience for yourself the charm and wonderful environment we have grown to treasure.

We have built the dream setting from rammed earth and glass to create the definitive bed and breakfast experience, carefully establishing generous private space for guests in a fresh, pristine environment.

The central location allows you to park the car until it's time to depart or treat it as a home base to explore one of the world's most beautiful coastlines.

Previous working lives spent at so many conferences have left us both with a keen appreciation of the importance of privacy, a feeling of spaciousness, tasteful surroundings and decor, up to date technology, central location, attention to detail and thoughtful service that fades into the background when no longer needed.

Where possible, we source local produce and showcase Australian design and textiles. It has been a priority to achieve a balance between restful luxury and a sustainable future. Our long association with Point Lonsdale highlighted what we could add to the area's unique appeal to make sure your escape starts the minute you arrive, and when it ends, know you can access that special space in an instant on a return visit. It is our wish to create and maintain that experience for all our guests.

pg 13.
"THE PLACE. Number 35, which cleverly traverses the bed-and-breakfast and boutique-hotel experiences, makes a big arhcitectural statement. Rammed earth walls give the impression that the soaring building has risen right from its beachside location. Natural light floods the house, reinforcing the connection with its surrounds, and the three airy and generous suites have a moden feel. Two shared living spaces have their own distinctive character - downstairs, the Ballarat Room's piano and family photos are a gentle nod to the owner's heritage, while upstairs is a more contemporary space with views to the coastal reserve..............................Number 35's a la carte breakfast is a delight."

Shane Green The AGE - Good Weekend Guide 29th October 2011.

Kylie Kwong at Number 35.

On Friday August 6th 2010 Kylie Kwong completed the last of her tour lunches to complete the launch of her new book "It Tastes Better." A number of her dishes were prepared by local chefs Simon and Alison Donohue. The event was held at the new and very modern Number 35, which comfortably accommodated the luncheon guests in the light filled kitchen / entertaining area. Wines were provided by local winery, Banks Rd Winery. Kylie spoke generously and passionately about the importance of sourcing quality local produce which is a philosophy that Marg and Paul Martin have embraced in their new up-market traditional bed and breakfast.
